Major style revision of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship of the Peninsula Newsletter

During my tenure as an associate pastor at this church of 250 adults, I took on oversight of the newsletter. As managing editor I led the production team in a major style revision, transforming a classic one-color publication illustrated with clip-art into a newsletter more appropriate to our creative, tech-savvy population. All content--writing and illustration--now came from within the community; no clipart or stock photography allowed!

The unifying concept for this issue was mine, and I wrote a couple of the articles including the lead piece, and was the last stop on the editorial chain.

The opportunity presented by this issue's subject perfectly represents the communication 'problem' faced by a pastor: take an ancient truth of possibly obscure meaning, teach it in a modern community in a meaningful and relevant way, watch for the results, then bear witness to the successes (and the failures) in order to encourage further exploration.

Note: certain names in some of the stories have been blacked out for privacy.
